Frequently asked questions
How far do you travel?
I am based out of Central Illinois and will travel up to 50 miles one direction. This covers anything from Springfield, IL to most areas in St. Louis, MO and a lot in between. Anything beyond this range will result in discussion of mileage reimbursement. I am willing to travel to your location of choosing or private property. However, please note that I cannot then guarantee results of my photos given the surroundings and lighting conditions were not chosen by me for ideal results.
Will you correct something in post processing?
The short answer is no. I do not believe in drastically altering photos as it then does not accurately represent what I captured. I will make minor adjustments such as removing something distracting from the background or any elements that need corrected to enhance the photo. I do not offer any sort of edits that involve changing body sizes/shapes or faces. I am a real life kind of photographer who celebrates my client exactly as they are. I do understand some folks have camera insecurities and I will do my best to work with those if you voice them to me ahead of time so that we can produce images you love. You are beautiful as is and deserve to have your photo taken!
What is your cancellation policy?
As a mother of two, I totally get that things happen. I do require a 50% deposit for all my sessions and this is non-refundable. However, if a session needs to be rescheduled, I request at least 24 hour notice and I will work to reschedule your session as it works within my availability. A second cancellation results in forfeit of your deposit and rescheduling is at my discretion. Additionally, I cannot control the weather. If there no sun, sessions will still take place as planned. Sessions will only be rescheduled due to weather if conditions are unsafe or highly unfavorable (think tornados or hurricanes.)
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
This depends on the season. Typical turn around time is between 2-4 weeks. This timeframe can be longer during busier seasons and I always do my best to update my clients on turnaround times.
